There are pots and pots of spring flowering bulbs in the cold frame at the moment. They are really starting to put on growth now and I simply can’t wait until they start to flower.
The leaves look so healthy and fresh but I am constantly looking for signs of the fat flower buds that are about to emerge. There’s a bit of a race on, but it’s in my head not theirs. Outside in the garden the crocus look fabulous in the sunlight and really open up in the sun. The snowdrops are still flowering and looking good and the leaves of the daffs are starting to appear. It’s a sure sign that spring has started, such a relief after the long and very cold winter. I’m really hoping that this lovely weather continues into the weekend, when I might just get a chance to be out in the garden a bit more.
