The hot weather created a bit of a stir with the beehives, though after an initial flurry I was a bit worried that they were not as buoyant as first thought. Bees Alive!

I guess you can tell from the title that my bees have made it so far. It’s too early to party but inwardly I am ecstatic. It’s been flippin cold up here dropping to -16C at some points at night and although they can handle the cold they expend a lot of energy keeping the nest warm. Read more…
