The Summer Solstice is a funny date in the diary; it marks the point in the calendar when the daylight hours are the longest and the hours of darkness the shortest.

Exotic Visitors

waxwingNever mind the excitement for the Royal Wedding, I’ve had far more exciting things happening in my garden this week!
A flock of hungry and very exotic looking birds turned up suddenly for 3 or 4 days and then completely stripped a large cotoneaster shrub of all of its berries. Read more…
