I just wish I could give it the time and attention it deserves when it needs it most. I know that’s a dangerous wish, but I’m sure I’m not alone. The fact is life is crazy and for most of us the garden and greenhouse are a luxury, certainly in terms of time.
Trouble is I know that when I’ve got more time, I won’t have any money to throw at them, so I need to invest in them now.
It’s Valentine’s Day and today I’m going to remember to show I care to my greenhouse, my garden and my husband.
No more details, that’s your issue.
My issue is to find a way to divide my time up to do all three. I’ve written this in advance, so I don’t have to write my Monday Blog on Monday, and I’m going to spend the day doing nice things for everyone and everything including me. So that means spending some time in the greenhouse where every plant, seedling and cutting needs nurturing and loving to perform to its full potential.
That’s a lovely thing to do anyway and by growing my own crops for food I am also nourishing my family with food fed on love and attention and grown with good ethics and without pesticides.
That’s really important to me and shows my loved ones that their health and happiness is important. But it nourishes me too and time spent in my garden and in my greenhouse feeds my soul.
So when you have paid homage to your loved ones today, spare a thought for the other things in your life that you love and that bring you happiness.
It’s important.
