It’s been a weekend of parties in my next of the neck of the woods and for once the weather was kind. It’s a timely reminder that the garden and greenhouse can be the perfect site to entertain friends and a brilliant way to make more of the garden.
The greenhouse can become a perfect site for a table to serve a few drinks and a brilliant wet weather shelter when the heavens open and it rains.
A few jam jars of tea lights arranged in the eaves or some low level lighting if you’ve added an electrical supply, and the party atmosphere is instantly created.
Of course you need to make a little room among the pots and growing bags, but there’s something quite magical about a night lit greenhouse with only the moon and the stars to light the garden. Try it as a late night destination while the weather is still warm and the glasshouse still harbours that wonderful spicy mix of scent from summer tomatoes and more.
